Blackland Ridge

About this property

Blackland Ridge If you’re looking for an affordable property just outside of town with a great view and plenty of possibilities, Blackland Ridge is worth a look. The property offers an attractive setting for a home, recreational retreat, equestrian property, or small livestock operation. Rising approximately 100 feet from Highway 157, a natural ridge provides an elevated building area with long views across the Departee Creek bottoms. The higher elevation, combined with the wooded areas around the property, gives the tract a nice sense of privacy while still being conveniently located just 7.6 miles from Pleasant Plains and Highway 167. The current owners have cleared a roadway along the eastern property line that gradually climbs from the highway toward the higher portion of the property, providing good access and making it easy to see the potential of the ridge. Water and electricity are available at the road, adding to the property’s potential as a future homesite. The proposed Departee Creek Lake project is also nearby and could provide additional upside for the area if the project moves forward. Blackland Ridge is available as a full 22-acre tract or can be divided into two approximately 11-acre parcels. Additional acreage is also available for buyers looking for more land. Whether you’re looking for a place to build, keep a few horses or livestock, or simply own some acreage with a good view and convenient access, Blackland Ridge offers a lot of possibilities. Directions: From Pleasant Plains, travel east on AR-157 N/Blackland Road approximately 7.6 miles. The property will be on the left.
